The Corporate Affairs Commission has made National Identity Number (NIN) the only means of identification acceptable for all the processes of the Commission.
Consequently, NIN is now a Compulsory requirement for business registration. Without the National Identification Number(NIN), Nigerians would no longer be able to register businesses.
This interesting development became applicable from 1st of January, 2023. As from that date, applicants are required to type the NIN in the appropriate fields on CAC online application forms.
